OUGD603: Lunasol Branding Colours (Brief 2)

by Roxxie Blackham on Saturday, 4 October 2014

Collaborating with J'nae to create a "boho" jewellery store, I decided to have a look at colour palettes, materials, and inspiration..

IRIDESCENT FILM!!!!!!!

I think that iridescent film could work really well with the type of branding we've started to go for - could be used in packaging or business card foiling??

Example of usage:

I really love the texture and colours of this kind of material, and think it could really suit our brand.

I also love the idea of using holographic / foiled embossing on the business stationary. Gives it a bit of a "trippy" vibe, and will appeal to our audience.

Could maybe even use iridescent film or holographic foil in our photographs??

I think this kind of effect works really well, and we can use this effect across a variety of things within the brand.

Thinking about photographing the jewellery for the brand, I had a look into Will Bryant's work and some of the photos on his website..

I really love the aesthetic to these photos - the whole 60's influenced style. The bright and bold colours work really well, and I love how the images have this strange amateur yet high fashion feel to them.

Holographic Foil?!?!

A fully foiled holographic publication might be a bit too much, but edges of business cards could be foiled like this? Or the logo on stationary??

I definitely love these iridescent colours too much...
Colour schemes to suit it would have to be pastel blues, pinks, purples, yellows..

Jewellery product shots would need to be kind of weird.. I like this idea of glittery eyebrows..

These kind of shots could work really well for the lookbook and online presence..

Her eyebrows!!

Definitely in love with iridescent colours schemes..
